Tamleugh Central No 1816

In 1917 C.R. Thompson gave free to the Department a site of 2 acres on Allotment 50,
Parish of Tamleugh, County of Moira. A portable building was removed to this site without
cost to the Department, and SS3966 Tamleugh Central opened on 17th of July, 1918 part-time
with SS2453 Tamleugh North; Edwin C. Garing was Temporary Head Teacher of both schools
from 17th of July 1918 to 16th of July 1919. C.R. Thomson was Correspondent.
SS3966
became full-time on 16th of August 1918 but closed on account of low attendance
​on 14th of March 1927.
